Can the problem be that I am booting into El Cap on the iMac and trying to install from there? Maybe I need to make a bootable USB drive. I have installed Quicken 2007 (2012) on my MacBook Pro running Mac OS X Lion and on my Mac Pro running Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, and so far in a few tests it seems to be working just fine, with only 1 problem found so far.
